This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
Josh Stippich is someone you would refer to as a serial entrepreneur. Since he was teenager, he has been coming up with creative ideas that lead to new business ventures. Today I want to tell you about Josh's latest company, E3 Fabrication.
At the age of 15, Josh started doing sound system work for local bands, which led to the opening of his own successful recording studio. However, while running his studio, Josh realized he was dissatisfied with the quality of audio equipment so he started building his own; thus his second business was born. Josh has always been a talented metal worker, so he used his skills to build speakers, amplifiers and other equipment.
His clients were so impressed with his work that they began requesting other household items. Josh had been creating such items for his mother and stepfather for years, so he decided to use his experience to launch a new business with his stepbrother, Sol Adams, who also had metal fabrication experience. The result was E3 Fabrication.
E3 Fabrication in Salt Lake City is a full-service architectural detailing, design and manufacturing studio that produces custom products for residential and commercial buildings. Architectural detailing can include anything from metal facades to countertops, shelves or railings. Clients have requested everything from aluminum desks to stainless steel countertops. Josh and Sol are currently in the process of creating a sculpture for one of the new TRAX stations.
Railings of all types are some of the most popular items the brothers are asked to create. These can be used to give buildings a modern or contemporary look, which is one of the company's specialties. In addition to metalwork, Josh and Sol can also combine metal with other materials such as glass, concrete or wood.
Not only do Josh and Sol hope to help E3 Fabrication become self sustaining but they also hope to branch into sustainable building, which is growing in demand.
For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
