ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Michigan guard Caris LeVert is sitting out Saturday's game against Penn State with a lower left leg injury.

The Wolverines announced LeVert's injury shortly before the game tipped off. Coach John Beilein said in a statement he hopes to know more about LeVert's status this week.

LeVert was limited to 18 games last season because of a left foot injury. The 6-foot-7 senior is averaging a team-high 17.6 points in 2015-16 and a team-high 32.4 minutes.
