COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Aleksa Jugovic set career highs with 26 points and five 3-pointers and Tennessee Tech beat Eastern Illinois 94-84 on Thursday in an Ohio Valley Conference opener.

Torrance Rowe scored 21 points with five 3s, Ryan Martin added 20 points and Anthony Morse grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds for the Golden Eagles (9-5), who made 13 of 24 3-pointers (54 percent).

Down 38-35 at halftime, the Panthers rallied and led 65-64 after Demetrius McReynolds' layup with 7:41 to go. The lead flip-flopped until Morse's layup sparked a 13-5 run and Tennessee Tech led 80-73 with 4:12 left. McReynolds pulled the Panthers within 82-79 with a 3, but the Golden Eagles finished with a 12-5 run in which Jugovic scored four.

Trae Anderson and Cornell Johnston scored 17 apiece for the Panthers (3-10), McReynolds had a season-high 16, and Casey Teson 12.
