2 hurt after sled crashes into vehicle near Lake Tahoe

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Two people sledding have been hospitalized after crashing into a parked vehicle near Lake Tahoe in northern Nevada.

The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District says the incident happened about noon Thursday near Highway 431 in the Meadows area that is popular for sledding.

Two people were hurt in the crash and taken to Renown hospital in Reno.

One person was airlifted and the other was taken by ambulance.

Fire department spokesperson Tia Rancourt said their conditions weren't immediately available.
