SEATTLE (AP) — Michael Bryson scored a career-high 36 points, shooting 9 for 18 from 3-point range, and had 13 rebounds to lead UC Santa Barbara past Seattle 88-50 Wednesday night.

Three different players hold the Gauchos' single-game scoring record of 39 points. Bryson's nine 3-pointers tied a school record set by Brian Johnson in 1987.

Bryson had four 3s in the first 10 minutes as Santa Barbara raced to a 23-15 lead and never trailed. The Gauchos built a 39-28 halftime lead then broke the game open with a 20-1 run after the break.

Seattle didn't score its first basket of the second half until Manroop Clair hit a 3 with 11:33 to play. The Redhawks made just eight field goals in the second half and were outscored 49-22.

Gabe Vincent had 10 rebounds for Santa Barbara (5-7).

Jack Crook led Seattle (6-8) with 13 points and Emmanuel Chibuogwu chipped in 10.
