MURRAY, Ky. (AP) — Bryce Jones scored 20 points with five rebounds and three steals as Murray State snapped a five-game losing streak with a 101-75 win over Brescia University of the NAIA on Wednesday night.
Wayne Langston added 19 points and five rebounds for the Racers (6-7). Chad Culbreath had 16 points and Gee McGhee posted a double-double scoring 14 points with 12 rebounds. The Racers averaged 47.4 percent from the field, 82.6 percent from the line and had a 45-22 rebounding edge over Brescia.
Culbreath sank a 3-pointer to cap a 22-11 start for the Racers and they led 44-36 at the break.
In the second half, Jones hit a 3-pointer followed by a layup to extend Murray State's lead to 58-43 with 14:25 to play and the Racers cruised from there.
Jermain Langley led the Bearcats with 14 points, five assists and four rebounds.
