A basket by Brandon Peel and Austin Nehls' 3 cut Yale's lead to 23-15, but Central Connecticut would get no closer for the rest of the game. The Bulldogs led 31-18 at halftime.

After the intermission, Yale outscored the Blue Devils 17-10 in the first 10 minutes of the half.

Nehls and Malik Toppin each scored 10 points to lead Central Connecticut State (1-10).
