Updating Brazil's quarterfinal game at the Olympic Qualifying Basketball Tournament in Athens...
*******
Down 27 with 4 minutes to play in the 3rd quarter, Brazil put JT in the game for the first time, and he was on the floor the rest of the way, as Brazil rallied to within 11 before losing 78-65.
JT finished with 4 points and an assist in 14 minutes; Araujo ended with 2 points and 4 rebounds in 17 minutes. Dirk Nowitzki paced Germany with 20. Germany's starters scored 71 of the team's 78 points. Brazil went 3 for 19 from the arc; Germany was 13 for 26 from distance.
So, JT's international journey comes to an end, but the last month showed he belongs in a Brazil uniform--we haven't seen the last of him suiting up for his country.

(Half)
At halftime, Brazil trails Germany 45-26. Brazil led 19-14, and led for the last time at 24-23, but Germany then went on a 22-2 run to end the half.
Jonathan Tavernari did not play in the fist half, as Brazil went 1 for 8 from the arc without him. Rafael Araujo played 11 minutes, with 2 points and 2 assists.
Germany shot better outside the arc (8/13) than inside (8/17), and was led by Dirk Nowitzki's 13 points and 5 rebounds.
