DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Red Wings have assigned left wing Eric Tangradi to Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League.

The team announced the move Wednesday. Tangradi was called up this week, but did not play in any games for the Red Wings.

The 26-year-old Tangradi has appeared in 24 games with Grand Rapids this season, ranking first on the team with 13 goals. He has played 143 NHL games for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Winnipeg Jets and Montreal Canadiens in seven professional seasons.
