LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say a 72-year-old man who had been reported missing last week in Las Vegas was found dead next to a freeway more than 30 miles away.

The Clark County coroner on Wednesday identified the man whose body was found Monday near Interstate 15 as Wallace Alberto Inkenbrandt. There was no immediate ruling on his cause of his death.

Las Vegas police Officer Jesse Roybal says Inkenbrandt was found with a vehicle south of Jean, and the circumstances were being investigated.

Inkenbrandt had been reported missing on Christmas day, and was said to have been driving a silver Nissan vehicle in northwest Las Vegas.

Police said he suffered from several medical issues and didn't have his medication with him.
