MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A former University of Minnesota student is accused of raping two women after meeting them at college parties in 2014.

Daniel Drill-Mellum of Waconia was arrested last week at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. The 22-year-old appeared in Hennepin County District Court on Monday afternoon to face charges of first-, second- and third-degree criminal sexual conduct in one case and first- and second-degree criminal sexual conduct in the other case.

An 18-year-old woman alleges Drill-Mellum raped her at the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house during a Halloween party in 2014. A 19-year-old woman claims Drill-Mellum raped her at his apartment after meeting him at another party the following weekend.

Drill-Mellum's attorney says they will contest the charges.

He's free on bond and is due back in court Jan. 28.
