NEW YORK (AP) — Chris Hooley scored 19 points and Albany held on to beat St. Francis-Brooklyn 71-66 on Tuesday night.

The Great Danes shot 53.3 percent from the field (24 of 45) and knocked down 6 of 10 from distance and 17 of 21 from the line. Hooley set the standard, hitting 6 of 8 from the field, knocking down his only attempt from beyond the arc and hitting 6 of 8 from the line.

Joe Cremo added 15 points, and Greig Stire and Evan Singletary each added 12 for Albany (10-4).

Chris Hooper got to the basket for a layup to pull St. Francis within three, 69-66 with eight seconds left, but Singletary answered with a pair of free throws and Yunus Hopkinson missed a layup at the buzzer.

Hooper finished with 17 points for the Terriers (4-8), with Hopkinson adding 15 points and Tyreek Jewell pulling down 11 rebounds.
