RENO, Nev. (AP) — Attorneys for a Reno hospital will be in court today, arguing that the hospital should be allowed to stop providing life support for a 20-year-old woman. Attorney David O'Mara, representing the father of Aden Hailu (AY'-dehn HEHL'-oo), says he expects Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center will ask the judge to allow brain wave tests that weren't done last summer.

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Sen. Harry Reid says Nevada should accept the Environmental Protection Agency's help cleaning up an abandoned copper mine near Yerington. Reid says he supports the EPA's intention to add the Anaconda mine to the Superfund National Priority List.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Washoe County authorities have located an overdue hiker in the Mount Rose area. Search and rescue crews found the man at about 1:30 yesterday afternoon after he hadn't been heard from since Sunday afternoon. Authorities say he was discovered in good condition.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say they arrested a corrections officer nearly a week ago for a misdemeanor prostitution charge. The department's public information office said officers arrested Robert Moore on Dec. 23, but provided no further details. Police say Moore has since been released from the Las Vegas City Jail and placed on paid administrative leave.
