LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say they arrested a fellow corrections officer nearly a week ago for a misdemeanor prostitution-related crime.
The department's public information office said Monday that officers arrested Robert Moore on Dec. 23 for a misdemeanor violation of the Unlawful Prostitution Act.
The office released the information about Moore's arrest after it closed on Monday. Court records and contact information for Moore or an attorney representing him were not immediately available, and Moore could not be reached for comment.
The statement makes no specific mention of what Moore is accused of doing.
Police say Moore has since been released from the Las Vegas City Jail and placed on paid administrative leave pending internal and criminal investigations. The statement says Moore has been with the department since May 2005.
