DENVER (AP) — This evening's NFL game has Denver playing host to Cincinnati. The Bengals, who are 11-3, have clinched the AFC North championship while the 10-4 Broncos top the 10-5 Chiefs in the AFC West race.

UNDATED (AP) — Two bowl games are on the agenda today. In the first contest, the Military Bowl in Annapolis, Maryland, 21st-ranked Navy is facing Pittsburgh, while in the second contest, the Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit, Central Michigan is playing Minnesota. For Navy the game is basically a home game as the Midshipmen play their games on the same field.

UNDATED (AP) — The new Associated Press men's Top-25 poll is out and for the third straight week the top three schools are, in order, Michigan State, Kansas and Oklahoma. The Spartans, who have been No. 1 in the poll for four weeks, received all but one first-place vote from the 65-member national media panel with the remaining No. 1 vote going to the Kansas Jayhawks.

UNDATED (AP) — The Oilers and Canadiens have pulled off a trade. In the deal, Montreal traded forward Zack Kassian (KA'-see-ihn) to the Oilers for goaltender Ben Scrivens. Kassian has 35 goals and 31 assists in 198 NHL regular season games. Scrivens was 2-6-1 with Bakersfield of the American Hockey League this season.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — One of the great sports entertainers of the 20th century has passed away. Meadowlark Lemon served as the face of the Harlem Globetrotters as they played their kind of basketball around the world. Known as the "clown price" of the barnstorming team, Lemon was 83.
