FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — Julien Lewis scored 14 points and Fresno State put seven players in double figures in rolling to an 89-46 win over Pacific Union on Sunday.
Karachi Edo was one of four players with 12 points and had a career-high 11 rebounds for the Bulldogs (9-4), who are off their best start since opening 11-2 in 2006.
The game was an exhibition for the NAIA Pioneers, who lost to a Division I for the fourth time this season. Jarron Crump had 17 points for Pacific Union.
Fresno State shot 53 percent, had a 49-31 rebounding advantage and forced 22 turnovers. The Bulldogs scored 34 points after turnovers and, with 21 offensive rebounds, scored 23 second-chance points. The difference in points in the paint was 50-18.
It was 39-24 at the half with the Pioneers shooting just 32 percent. They finished 3 of 18 behind the arc.
