CARSON, Calif. (AP) — The LA Galaxy have transferred MLS All-Star midfielder Juninho to Club Tijuana in Liga MX.
The Galaxy announced the latest move in their shake-up Thursday.
Juninho won three MLS Cup titles during six seasons with the Galaxy. The Brazilian scored 18 goals during 180 starts for the club, earning his first All-Star selection last season.
Juninho was sent to Mexico two days after longtime Galaxy defender Omar Gonzalez was transferred to Pachuca in Liga MX.
Juninho originally was loaned to the Galaxy from Sao Paolo in 2010, signing permanently with the MLS club before the 2013 season. He played in at least 30 games for the last five seasons, getting four goals and seven assists in 33 appearances last season.
