DETROIT (AP) — Right-hander Logan Kensing and outfielder Nate Schierholtz have agreed to minor league contracts with the Detroit Tigers.

Detroit said Wednesday that right-handers Melvin Mercedes and Dustin Molleken also agreed to minor league deals, as did utilityman Jordany Valdespin and infielder Alberto Gonzalez.

Kensing and Schierholtz will report to big league spring training. Kensing was 2-1 with a 5.87 ERA in 19 games with Seattle this year. Schierholtz hit .250 with 10 homers and 30 RBIs in 31 games for Hiroshima of Japan's Central League.
