The Herald Journal in Logan reports that Cade Austin of Preston, Idaho, is facing charges including attempted murder and DUI in the Dec. 15 crash.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The Idaho Supreme Court has upheld the state's burglary law, dismissing a claim brought by a man who was charged with felony burglary for shoplifting at a Wal-Mart. The Spokesman-Review reports Ryan Rawlings said in his appeal that Idaho's burglary law is unconstitutional because it was used to charge him with felony burglary instead of misdemeanor shoplifting.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline has received a $300,000 grant that will go toward launching the state's first online emotional support program. KTVB-TV reports that Director John Reusser says the grant from Boise's J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation is the largest private donation that the hotline has ever received.

DAVIS, Calif. (AP) — Perrion Callandret scored 18 points and Idaho jumped out early and cruised to a 68-51 victory over UC Davis last night. Arkadiy Mkrtychyan and Victor Sanders added 12 points apiece for Idaho, which has won three straight.
