DEKALB, Ill. (AP) — Marin Maric scored 22 points, his seventh straight game in double-figure scoring, as Northern Illinois routed NAIA Roosevelt, 85-52 Tuesday night.

The Huskies head into a week-long Christmas break with a 9-2 record.

Maric, the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week, was 9 of 13 shooting from the floor. He hit his lone 3-point attempt and converted 3 of 4 from the line in leading NIU.

Travon Baker, appearing in his 103rd straight game, finished with 14 points. Andrew Zelis and Laytwan Porter each contributed 12 points and Chuks Iroegbu had 11.

The Huskies shot 51.6 percent from the field (33 of 64), including 10 of 20 from beyond the arc, and dished out 21 assists as a team.

Roosevelt, from Chicago, got 11 points each from Korey Ryan and Kevin Priebe.
