LAS VEGAS (AP) — Jeremiah Ingram had 13 points and nine rebounds and North Carolina Central held off Eastern Illinois 57-52 on Tuesday.

Patrick Cole added 12 points and four assists for the Eagles in the consolation game of the Visitors' Bracket at the Global Sports Classic.

Trae Anderson had 15 points and A.J. Riley 10 for the Panthers (2-9).

NC Central (4-8) led 54-51 with 23 seconds left. After the Panthers made a free throw, Cole made two free throws for NC Central. The Panthers missed a long 3-pointer, Ingram was fouled getting the rebound, and he added a final free throw.

The Eagles led 27-24 at halftime. The Panthers tied the game at 37-37 on a 3-pointer by Riley. Ingram put NC Central up 44-41 with 8:33 to play. The Panthers closed within one possession several times but could not catch the Eagles.
