OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Gov. Mary Fallin is appointing Edmond attorney Andy Lester of Edmond to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and reappointing Rick Davis of Newkirk to the Board of Regents for Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical Colleges.

Lester will replace Marlin "Ike" Glass Jr., whose term expired in May. Lester is a partner in the Edmond law firm Lester, Loving and Davies.

Davis was originally appointed to the Oklahoma A&M Board of Regents in 2011 to fill an unexpired term. He is managing general partner of the family-owned Davis Farms in Logan County and is managing general partner of Dimmitt Hay in Guthrie. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics.

Both appointments require confirmation from the state Senate.
