FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) — DeAndre Abram scored 27 points in the freshman's second start and George Mason defeated Wagner 71-60 on Tuesday.
Abram made his first start in the Patriots' previous game against Longwood in which he scored 24 points. He was 7 of 13 from the floor and made six of his eight 3-point attempts against Wagner (6-4) and had his first double-double with 10 rebounds.
Marquise Moore added 18 points and the 6-foot-2 junior guard snared 11 rebounds for his first career double-double. Otis Livingston II added 11 points.
Dwan Anderson scored 21 points, a career best for the Seahawks senior.
The Patriots (6-7) led by one at halftime. Wagner had a one-point lead with 9:04 left in the game when George Mason went on a 12-point run with four points each by Abram and Moore to go up 60-47, and the Patriots' maintained the double-figures lead the rest of the way.
