WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Evan Cooper hit five 3-pointers and scored 17 points to lead Hartford to a 69-46 win over Widener on Tuesday.

Justin Graham added 11 points and Jalen Ross handed out seven assists for the Hawks (5-8), who never trailed.

Sardayah Sambo had 13 points for the Division III Pride (4-6).

Pancake Thomas and Graham combined for Hartford's first four baskets from behind the 3-point line and after Ross assisted on two Jack Hobbs layups it was 16-6 less than eight minutes into the game.

Widener got within six with a minute left in the first half but trailed 35-26 at the break. J.R. Lynch and George Blagojevic opened the second half with 3s for Hartford and the Hawks steadily pulled way.

Hartford hit 15 3s on 34 attempts and had 21 assists on 24 baskets with 12 turnovers. The Hawks forced 25 turnovers and turned those into 29 points.
