STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) — Alec Kobre made a 3-pointer as time expired in overtime to lift Pacific over Santa Clara 73-72 in the West Coast Conference opener for both teams on Monday night.

Kobre finished with 11 points, including three free throws with 2:13 left in overtime that pulled the Tigers (2-8) within 70-68. Nate Kratch put the Broncos up by four and Ray Bowles answered with a tip-in that made it 72-70 with 40 seconds left.

Bowles led Pacific with 19 points, including a basket with 0.3 seconds left in regulation that forced overtime.

The Tigers led for less than 1:30 of game time, but Kobre's game-winner was enough to give them their first Division I win of the season.

Jared Brownridge made 8 of 12 3-point attempts and scored 23 of his 36 in the second half and overtime. His 4-point play with 2:29 left in overtime put the Broncos up 70-65.
