JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Darius Dawkins scored 22 points, Kori Babineaux added 16 — including a pair of free throws with 10 seconds left to provide the winning points — and Jacksonville beat Florida A&M 68-66 on Monday.
Jacksonville (5-7) led by nine with 3:15 left, but Florida A&M's 9-2 run trimmed the deficit to two with 1:03 remaining. Babineaux hit a jumper, and then Darien Fernandez made a pair from the line to make it 66-62 with 25 seconds left.
FAMU's Justin Ravenel hit a 3, and Isaiah Omoregie tied it with a free throw but missed the second. Babineaux grabbed the rebound and was fouled by Malcolm Bernard. He hit both free throws, and after each team used a timeout, the Rattlers (4-9) couldn't get off another shot.
Marcel White added 15 points for Jacksonville.
Trey Warren led FAMU with 15 points. Francois Lewis had 14 points and Ravenel finished with 11.
