Toledo gets away to fast start, beats NC A&T 95-62

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — Jonathan Williams scored 25 points with four 3-pointers as Toledo raced away from North Carolina A&T 95-62 Monday night.

Nathan Boothe scored 18 points for the Rockets (8-4), Jaelan Sanford added 16 and Zach Garber 13. Boothe had eight rebounds and seven assists. Sanford made four 3-pointers.

Williams now has eight games of 20 points or better. Toledo outrebounded the Aggies 47-34 and had 22 assists on 31 field goals while only committing nine turnovers.

Boothe made or assisted on four of the Rockets' first five baskets — making two shots and feeding Williams for a pair of 3-pointers as the Rockets built a 12-2 lead. Sanford also scored in the opening flurry.

Toledo scored 22 points at the free-throw line as N.C. A&T was called for 26 fouls.

Bruce Beckford led the Aggies (5-9) with 20 points and Sam Hunt scored 11. Beckford drained four 3-pointers and Hunt three.
