HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Two-time national player of the year Breanna Stewart has a sprained right ankle and did not dress for Monday's game between top-ranked UConn and LSU.

School spokesman Patrick McKenna says the 6-foot-4 senior suffered the injury in practice last week.

Stewart leads the undefeated Huskies in scoring (22.9 points), rebounding (8.1) and blocked shots (27) this season. She has scored more than 20 points in six of UConn's eight games.

Stewart had played 92 consecutive games since missing the first round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament with an ankle injury.

UConn (8-0) has won 45 straight games. The Huskies will have a week off before facing No. 6 Maryland on Dec. 28 at Madison Square Garden.
