ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Linebacker Tim Kimbrough, Georgia's third-leading tackler, will miss the TaxSlayer Bowl against Penn State due to a suspension.
Georgia did not disclose the reason for the suspension.
Kimbrough, a junior, has 67 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble in 12 games for Georgia (9-3).
Georgia also announced Monday that backup running back Brendan Douglas will miss the game following wrist surgery. Douglas is fourth on the team with 140 yards rushing but third, behind only Sony Michel and Keith Marshall, among healthy backs.
Also Monday, interim coach Bryan McClendon said he'll have a chance during this week's Christmas break to discuss his future with the team. He said his full focus will be on the bowl game when practice resumes next Monday.
