NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Authorities say at least 10 people who were touring Vanderbilt University's campus were injured when a tree fell on them.
Media outlets report that at least four people were transported by ambulance to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Their conditions weren't released, but university officials say the others are listed in stable condition.
Officials said that 120 prospective students and parents were leaving an information session at one of the campus' buildings when the tree fell around 11 a.m.
Metro Nashville police, as well as fire and emergency management officials, responded to the incident.
Few details have been released, but officials said they believe the weight of the rain-soaked tree caused it to fall.
