LAS VEGAS (AP) — A 21-year-old man riding a motorcycle has died after his bike collided with a pickup truck in a Las Vegas intersection.

Las Vegas police say the collision happened around 3:40 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Elkhorn Road and Red Cinder Street.

According to investigators, a 2016 Ram 1500 pickup was turning left when the motorcycle struck its passenger side.

Emergency responders pronounced the rider, Brandon Michael Degrella, dead at the scene.

Police say the pickup driver, 49-year-old Erik Provencal, was not injured but may have been driving under the influence.

Provencal was taken to Clark County Detention Center for sobriety testing and is being held without bail.

Police say the incident marks the 119th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas this year.
