MURRAY, Ky. (AP) — Anthony Beane scored 22 points and Leo Vincent added another 17 off the bench as Southern Illinois pulled away from Murray State in the second half to post an 88-73 nonconference win Friday night.

Beane hit 7 of 18 shots, including 3 of 8 from long range, and the Salukis shot 54 percent from the field, knocking down 28 of 52 shots from the field, including 7 of 19 (37 percent) from deep.

Beane now has 1,548 career points and moved up two spots to eighth all-time on SIU's scoring list.

Mike Rodriguez and Sean O'Brien each added 13 points for Southern Illinois, which held a 39-28 rebounding advantage on the Racers.

Bryce Jones scored 20 points to lead Murray State, with Wayne Langston adding 15 and Jeffery Moss 12.

The victory gives the Salulkis a 17-16 record against Murray State.
