GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Sam Hunt scored 25 points to lead North Carolina A&T to a 61-47 victory over Grambling State on Thursday night.
Hunt was 7 of 14 from the floor with four 3-pointers. Joshea Singleton added 14 points for North Carolina A&T (5-8), which bounced back from the 71-60 loss at East Carolina that snapped a four-game win streak.
Bruce Beckford chipped in six points with 11 rebounds and Ahmad Abdullah had a game-high five assists for the Aggies.
Remond Brown scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds with four steals to lead Grambling State (2-8). The Tigers lost three consecutive games and scored less than 52 points during the skid. Michael Bethea Jr. added 10 points.
It was tied 21-all at halftime. The Aggies outscored Grambling State 40-26 in the second half.
