LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Dodgers have retained pitching coach Rick Honeycutt on new manager Dave Roberts' coaching staff.
The Dodgers announced Roberts' first coaching staff Thursday.
Former Oakland manager Bob Geren is the Dodgers' new bench coach, and Turner Ward is their hitting coach.
Honeycutt will return for his 11th season under his fourth manager in Los Angeles. The Dodgers lead all big-league teams with a 3.65 ERA and 12,605 strikeouts since he took over in 2006.
Honeycutt and catching instructor Steve Yeager are the only holdovers from manager Don Mattingly's staff.
Geren spent the past four seasons as the New York Mets' bench coach.
Ward spent the past eight seasons in the Arizona organization, including the past three years on the big-league staff as a hitting coach. Tim Hyers is his assistant hitting coach.
Chris Woodward is the Dodgers' third base coach, and George Lombard is the first base coach. Josh Bard is the new bullpen coach, and Juan Castro was named quality assurance coach.
