CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago White Sox appear to have solved their third base problem. In a three-way deal involving the Reds and Dodgers, the White Sox have acquired All-Star third baseman Todd Frazier, who batted .255 with 35 homers and 89 RBIs last season with Cincinnati.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Outfielder Daniel Nava has agreed to a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Angels. Nava batted .152 in 29 games with Boston last season before the Red Sox waived him.

NEW YORK (AP) — The NFL will have game referees in the playoffs consult with its director of officiating about the application of rules in situations not currently covered in instant replay reviews. Included in those situations are the appropriate assessment of penalty yardage; proper administration of the game clock; correct downs; and any other administrative matter not currently reviewable.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — With all the success of the Golden State Warriors it's not hard to see how San Antonio's season has received so little attention. The Spurs have the second best record in the NBA at 21-5 and tonight go for their 21st-straight home win as they entertain the Wizards. Washington has lost the last 15 games it's played in San Antonio.

NEW YORK (AP) — The WNBA and several angry players fired back at former NBA guard Gilbert Arenas, who suggested that they play in undergarments to improve the popularity of the league. Spokesman Mike Bass responded to the comments in a statement on behalf of the NBA and the WNBA, saying, "Gilbert Arenas' comments are repugnant, utterly disrespectful and flat-out wrong.
