SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Salt Lake City Marathon has a new owner -- again.
KUTV-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1NTsh59 ) that High Altitude Special Events Management is the race's fourth owner since 2012.
Life Time Athletic Events, the most recent owner, says runners who signed up for the 2016 race won't experience any changes.
High Altitude is owned by Steve Bingham-Hawk, who has directed the marathon five times. He will continue to lead the event and Life Time will stay on as an official sponsor.
The Salt Lake City Marathon has struggled to pay race winners in previous years, and in 2011, several vendors were not paid on time or not paid at all. The owner at that time was Devine Racing.
The 13th annual Salt Lake City Marathon is scheduled for April 16.
