Tennessee signs 3 prospects from Kansas junior colleges

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee has signed junior-college wide receiver Jeff George, cornerback D.J. Henderson and defensive tackle Alexis Johnson.

Their signings were announced Wednesday. All three have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

George and Henderson are both from Dodge City (Kansas) Community College. George had transferred to Dodge City from Southwestern Oklahoma State.

George, who is listed as 6-foot-6, caught 45 passes for 685 yards and five touchdowns for Dodge City this season. Henderson, who is 6-1, had two interceptions and 11 pass breakups.

Johnson, who is 6-4 and 295 pounds, had 8 ½ sacks and 12 ½ tackles for loss this year at Fort Scott (Kansas) Community College.

Johnson is a consensus four-star recruit and George earned four-star ratings from ESPN and Rivals. Henderson is a consensus three-star prospect.
