LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska coach Mike Riley has dismissed senior cornerback Jonathan Rose from the team for violating team rules again.

Riley announced Rose's departure on Tuesday after the Cornhuskers' fourth practice leading to the Foster Farms Bowl against UCLA on Dec. 26.

Rose appeared in nine games and started five, making 42 tackles and one interception. Rose was suspended twice for a total of three games earlier this season for breaking team rules. Rose started his college career at Auburn and transferred to Nebraska in 2012.
