PROVO, Utah (AP) — An Orem man accused of kidnapping a young girl as she walked to school and raping her in a Dumpster will serve at least 25 years in prison. A judge handed down the sentence to 27-year-old Jayson Quade Johnson after he pleaded guilty to felony sodomy upon a child in September. The victim's father called Johnson a monster and coward.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Firefighters got some help from Santa during a weekend fire at a Salt Lake City-area aquarium. A Unified Fire Authority spokesman says a fire started on the roof of Draper's Loveland Living Planet Aquarium early Sunday afternoon. That happened to be the same time one of the department's fire inspectors was playing Santa Claus for a Christmas party there. The spokesman says "Santa" helped evacuate the building.
