CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. (AP) — American Public University System is looking for a new president.

President and CEO Wallace E. Boston says he plans to step down after a successor is found in order to focus on his position as CEO with parent company American Public Education Inc.

The APU system board's search for a new president is expected to continue through the first quarter of 2016.

American Public University System offers 90 online degree programs through American Public University and American Military University. Its headquarters are in Charles Town.
