LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) — Josh Adams scored 22 points and Wyoming held on for a 62-59 win over New Mexico State on Sunday night.

Jason McManamen added 15 points and Justin James had 13 for Wyoming (6-4), which shot 45 percent from the floor and 7 of 16 from long range.

New Mexico State (5-4) battled back from a 14-point deficit in the second half. Johnathon Wilkins' bucket closed the gap to 56-55 with 1:11 remaining but the Aggies couldn't overtake. Adams got a layup at the other end to extend the lead back to three and Wyoming hung on down the stretch to get its first win on New Mexico State's home court.

Ian Baker had 20 points and Pascal Siakam had 14 points and 15 rebounds for the Aggies, who controlled the boards 45-27 but were held to 35 percent shooting and hit just two of their 14 attempts from behind the arc.
