ROCHESTER, Mich. (AP) — Jasmine Hines scored a career-high 21 points and No. 25 Michigan State beat Oakland 82-62 on Sunday.
Hines made 7 of 9 shots. She scored 12 points in the first half which ended with the Spartans (7-2) leading 43-30.
Hines scored the first four points of the game the Spartans never trailed. Tori Jankoska's 3-pointer with 3:12 left in the first quarter put Michigan State up 19-7 and the lead would remain in double figures. The Spartans' largest lead was 24 points with 7:09 left in the game.
Branndais Agee had her first double-double this season with 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Spartans, who led 47-19 on the boards. Aerial Powers scored 17 points and Jankoska 11.
Olivia Nash and Taylor Jones scored 14 points each for the Golden Grizzlies (5-4). Elena Popkey added 12 and Taylor Gleason 11.
The victory was Michigan State's third straight.
