BERLIN (AP) — Bundesliga top-scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored one goal, set up another, missed a penalty and had two goals ruled out in Borussia Dortmund's 4-1 win over 10-man Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday.
Frankfurt, which had several players suspended, stunned the home fans when Alexander Meier smashed the ball home from 22 meters (yards) in the sixth minute.
Aubameyang, who had two goals ruled out for offside in the first half, ran onto Mats Hummels' through ball and crossed for Henrikh Mkhitaryan to equalize with a tap-in in the 24th.
The visitors' task was made harder before the break when Slobodan Medojevic was sent off with a second yellow for a clumsy challenge on Gonzalo Castro.
"It was difficult with 11 men. With 10 it was nearly impossible," Frankfurt coach Armin Veh said.
Aubameyang missed the resulting penalty but made up for it by claiming his 18th goal of the season in the 57th, set up by Shinji Kagawa.
Dortmund captain Hummels made it 3-1 four minutes later, and Lukasz Piszczek crossed for substitute Adrian Ramos to complete the scoring in the 86th.
"That was really important for us. You could see that the confidence had taken a knock in the last weeks," said Hummels, who had come in for criticism lately. "Today does us a lot of good."
Dortmund cut Bayern Munich's lead to five points, while only goal difference was keeping Frankfurt out of the relegation zone.
Earlier, an injury time strike by defender Caiuby earned Augsburg its first ever win over Schalke in a 2-1 victory.
Caiuby volleyed Benedikt Hoewedes' attempted clearance into the top corner in the 92nd minute as Augsburg climbed to 13th.
TV replays showed a handball by Markus Feulner in the buildup, however.
"It's inexplicable to me how that wasn't whistled. It couldn't be any clearer. It's bitter to lose the game like that," Schalke forward Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting said.
South Korean midfielder Hong Jeong-ho had put the home side ahead in the 34th with a deflection.
Sead Kolasinac deservedly equalized with his first Bundesliga goal in the 70th only for Caiuby to snatch the victory.
Schalke had won six of the previous nine competitive games between the sides, with the other three games ending in draws.
