BALTIMORE (AP) — Will Darley set career marks with 23 points and 10 rebounds, and Maryland-Baltimore County started the second half on a 15-1 run to pull away from Mount St. Mary's 75-63 on Saturday.

Rodney Elliott had 17 points and Joe Sherburne 15 for UMBC (3-8), which has won two of three after a 1-7 start to the season. Darley was 10-of-16 shooting and added two assists.

Tied 32-all at halftime, a 3-pointer from Elliott and back-to-back baskets from Darley put the Retrievers up by seven. After a Mount St. Mary's free throw, Darley scored again before a 3-point play from Elliott and 3-pointer from Sherburne gave UMBC a 14-point lead with 14:19 to play.

Mount St. Mary's (3-7) wouldn't get within single digits the rest of the way. BK Ashe had 23 points, the lone Mountaineer to score in double figures.

Mount St. Mary's starting five combined to make just 7 of 23 shots for 21 points.
