SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — The start of a game between the Washington Capitals and Florida Panthers was delayed about 20 minutes because the required paramedics had to assist a nearby accident.
The players briefly returned to the locker room while the teams waited for the emergency medical personnel to arrive at BB&T Center.
Jaromir Jagr scored shortly after the game started and the Panthers led 1-0 early in the first period.
