WINDERMERE, Fla. (AP) — Police in a wealthy Orlando suburb have released photos of nine women who appear to be unconscious or asleep and are asking for help identifying them.

Police in Windermere have released few details and are saying only that they want the public's help so officers can make sure they women are OK.

Police Chief Dave Ogden said Wednesday that officers had already made contact with five women and that they are safe.

The photos, released Tuesday, show the faces of nine women who either are apparently unconscious or asleep.

Detectives say the photos are screen grabs of videos likely taken between 2008 and 2013, but they offered no more information. Police wouldn't comment further or give details about the nature of any crimes or how they might be connected.

Ogden says police are moving forward with an investigation.
