NACOGDOCHES, Texas (AP) — Demetrious Floyd nailed 6 of 12 from beyond the arc for a career-high 26 points to lead Stephen F. Austin past Division II Henderson State 87-54 on Tuesday night.

Clide Geffrard came off the bench to score 13 points and Thomas Walkup chipped in 10, had four steals and dished out seven assists for Stephen F. Austin (5-3) which has now won three straight. Nathan Bain added eight points while grabbing 10 rebounds.

Henderson State jumped out to a 4-0 lead but Walkup hit two straight jumpers and T.J. Holyfield slammed home a dunk for a 7-6 lead and the Lumberjacks never trailed again. They raced to a 43-18 halftime advantage and were up 65-36 at the midway point of the second half.

SFA won the rebound battle 48-31 and hit 11 of 29 3-point shots.

Kevin Kozan led Henderson State with 10 points. Tavian Pomlee had nine points and six rebounds.
