BALTIMORE (AP) — Democrat Bernie Sanders took his presidential campaign to the heart of a Baltimore neighborhood that witnessed riots following the death of Freddie Gray. Sanders called the level of poverty reminiscent of a "third world country." Meanwhile, the prosecution has rested in the manslaughter trial of a Baltimore officer charged in Gray's death.
DOVER, Del. (AP) — A Delaware jury has acquitted a white police officer of assault after he kicked a black suspect in the head, breaking his jaw. Dover police officer Thomas Webster IV testified that he didn't intend to kick Lateef Dickerson in the head and instead was aiming for his upper body.
SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle police have released dash-cam videos showing a carjacker speeding the wrong way up a one-way street. The carjacker is seen firing at a pursuing patrol car and finally spinning out his stolen, wrecked Camaro in a cloud of smoke as officers shoot and kill him. No bystanders or police were seriously hurt in Sunday's incident.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The marriage of Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas is officially over. A Los Angeles judge finalized the actors' divorce on Friday and the judgment was released today. Griffith filed for divorce in June 2014 after 18 years of marriage.
