GRIFFIN, Ga. (AP) — The Griffin-Spalding School District says it has taken action after a video of a school fight surfaced on Facebook.
Media outlets report a video showing a fight in a Griffin High School boys' bathroom was uploaded to Facebook on Monday. The fight involves four students, and apparently was over a pair of shoes.
School district spokeswoman Judy Parker says the principal immediately took action, called the police and got the situation resolved.
Griffin police say the four students seen in the video have been suspended.
The school sent a letter home with students Monday. Principal Darrell Evans wrote in bold print in the letter, "Griffin High School will continue to thrive as we foster a strong educational setting."
As of Monday night, the video had nearly 100,000 views on Facebook.
