TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Shakayla Thomas had 23 points and matched a career-high with 10 rebounds, and No. 13 Florida State rolled to a 75-47 victory over Temple on Sunday.
Thomas shot 9 of 17 for the floor. Ivey Slaughter added a season-best 13 points with 10 rebounds for Florida State (7-1), which has won seven straight since losing its opener at Florida, 82-72 on Nov. 16. The Seminoles have won six of the seven games by double-digits.
Tanaya Atkinson scored 14 points, and Donnaizha Fountain had 13 to lead Temple (3-4).
Florida State had a 34-30 halftime lead. Thomas scored six points during a 20-4 third quarter to help the Seminoles pull away. It was the second straight game Temple has been held to single digits in the third quarter.
The Owls had 22 turnovers, scored a season-low 47 points, and have lost four of its last five games.
